John Walton Collette, Jr.

John Walton Collette, Jr. was born on May 3, 1961, in Deland, FL, to the late Joanne Pickens Collette and the late John Walton Collette, Sr.

John spent many years working on his family’s farm in Crescent City, FL, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and a strong work ethic. Later in life, he served as an end-of-life caregiver, compassionately supporting others during their most vulnerable moments. He also volunteered his time assisting individuals with mental challenges, reflecting his genuine care for people.

John had a special love for animals, especially his peacocks, which brought him great joy. He was known for his kind heart, quiet nature, and gentle spirit. Though he often kept to himself, those who knew him experienced his sincerity and compassion. His favorite color was purple, a reflection of his unique and calm presence.

On April 1, 2026, John transitioned peacefully at his home. He leaves behind many who loved and cared deeply for him, and who will cherish his memory always.
