Joe Lewis Foster

Joe Lewis Foster was born on February 15, 1959, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late Lucy Mae Foster and the late Joe Foster, Sr. He was educated in the Spartanburg County School System.

Joe was known for his warm and engaging personality. He was truly a people person who loved to laugh, talk, and enjoy the company of others. He had a passion for working on cars and painting them, taking pride in his craftsmanship. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke. He was also a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and his favorite colors were black and white.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his sister, Brenda Foster.

Those left to cherish his memory include a host of family members and friends who will forever hold his love and laughter close to their hearts.

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Joe transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
