Jimmy Lee Lyles was born to both the late Junior and Madie Lowrance Lyles, in Spartanburg, SC, on July 30, 1950. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools.

Jimmy was a quiet and tranquil person. In his spare time, he liked to watch football, but his favorite was old western movies. Most of all, he enjoyed fishing and going for rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by one sister, Trudy Snoddy.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his sisters, Elizabeth Lyles and Sylvia Lyles both of Inman, SC; brothers, Edward Lyles (Ann Burgess) of Spartanburg, SC, Calvin (Judy) Lyles and Leon Lyles both of Inman, SC; uncle, Lewis James Lyles of Boiling Springs, SC; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Jimmy calmly and peacefully transitioned. Memories of him will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
