James Edward
Morrow
January 14, 1956 – November 18, 2022
Mr. James Edward Morrow was born to the late Helen Dunbar and the late William Morrow, on January 14, 1956, in Spartanburg County. He was educated in the Spartanburg county school system. He played football at Spartanburg High School and was a graduate of the class of 1975. He served in the United States Army and was an accomplished guitarist. James was a proud former member of the Marshal Tucker Band. James had a very outgoing personality and was known for his humorous spirit. He was known for "talking junk" and bringing light and laughter to any room.
James was preceded in death, along with is parents, by siblings, Fannie Morrow Wiggins, William Morrow, Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Lee.
He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories to sisters, Betty Jones and Martha (Ronnie) Jeter both of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, John Henry (Dora) Morrow of Greenville, SC and Jerry (Berthenia) Morrow of Spartanburg, SC; a special cousin, Gloria Morrow Kennan of Spartanburg, SC; special friend, Gerdine Lyles; bonus daughter, Nia Lyles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
On the evening of Friday, November 19, 2022, James transitioned peacefully and joined the heavenly band where he can now play his guitar for the Lord. His comical presence and loving spirt will forever be cherished.
