December 12, 1935 – February 20, 2025
James Mack Landrum, II was born, on December 12, 1935, to the late Eileen Landrum and the late James Mack, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a graduate of Fosters Grove High School and owned and operated his brick mason company. He was a member of Brooklyn CME Church and Masonic Lodge, Victor 141.
He was preceded in death, along with his parent, by his wife, Shirley Ivera Thornwell Landrum and grandparents, Mack and Liela Landrum.
He leaves his legacy and love to his loving children, James M. (Evon) Landrum of Chesnee, SC, Debra (Jeese) Hughes of Charleston, SC, Liela McKinney and Janet Landrum both of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Haynes-Grissetti, Kiera Landrum-Foster, Alijiah V. McKinney, Tanisha Carson, and Tiffany Dodd; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, J.C. Earles; sisters-in-law, Deteria Long, Nena Waddell, Alice Fien, and Jessie Smith; loving niece, Detria Ann (James) Jones; cousin, Betty Moore; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, James transitioned peacefully, after an extended illness, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
