Jacquelyn S. Snoddy was born December 1, 1946, to the late Alice Sartor Crosby and the late Odell Barnett, in Union, SC. She was educated in the Union County Schools and a graduate of Sims High School.
Jacquelyn was extremely passionate about God, church, and children having their needs met. She was heavily involved in doing the work of the Lord and His Church. In early years, she would tutor the neighborhood children to ensure their success in education. Jacquelyn was a foodie and loved eating. She was ignited ny a good conversation. Her favorite color was red.
She was a member of Lewis Chapel Baptist Church and she sang on the choir.
She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by stepfather, Monroe Crosby; sisters, Sandra Davis and Mamie Barrett.
She leaves a lifetime of love and hope in Christ to her daughters, Angela (Weyman) Dublin of Harstville, SC and Stephanie Snoddy of Charlotte, NC; brother, Emanuel Barrett of Fort Mill, SC; grandchild, Kristen Dublin of Hartsville, SC; great-grandchild, Kingston Dublin; close friends, Brenda Harris, Dorothy Burkette and Helen Boone; and a host of other relatives.
On the morning of Thursday, December 26, 2024, Jacquelyn transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She will be missed and cherished forever by her family and friends.
