Hezekiah Michael Robinson was born on April 11, 1954, to the late Hezekiah Robinson, Jr. and the late Juanita Robinson in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1972 graduate of Spartanburg High School. Hezekiah played football and his jersey number was 75. He was also a member of the track and field team, with his events being shot put and discus. He continued his education at Allen University. Michael, as he was affectionately known, was a talented musician and excelled at playing the piano and singing. His God-given talent allowed him to record several musical projects.
Hezekiah Michael Robinson leaves to cherish his fond and unforgettable memories to his loving wife and best friend of thirty-seven years, Yvonne Robinson of the home; three sons, Rodney (Natalie) Wells, Michael (Octavia) Robinson, and Devan Robinson; one daughter, LaTasha (Tim) Nesbitt; one sister, Jane Denise Robinson; one sister-in-law, Linda ( Kelvin) Curry; godbrother, Henry Foster; beloved granddaughters, Jasharra Wells, LyTasia Nesbitt, Karleigh Wells, Shykera Rice, and Natalie Robinson; beloved grandsons, Tyuan Nesbitt, Tevin Nesbitt, Major Pearson, Jordan Smith and D.J. Murphy; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his brothers, Rodney Robinson and Andrew Robinson, and sister-in-law, Margaret Foster.
On Monday, February 21, 2022, Hezekiah played his final notes on earth and joined the heavenly band. He can now use his talents to forever praise and worship the Savior. His indelible legacy of love and music will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
