Helen Ruth Moise, affectionately known as “Sue,” was born on March 6, 1946 to the late Helen Jeter. A woman of remarkable warmth and generosity, Sue never met a stranger. She possessed a vibrant and outgoing personality that naturally drew people to her. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love, where family and friends were always welcomed with open arms, a warm meal, and a place to rest. Many cherished memories were made during weekends spent in her home, where her kindness and hospitality created lasting bonds.

Sue enjoyed the art of needlecraft and took great pride in the beauty she created with her hands. She was a devoted fan of the Washington Commanders, and her favorite color, red, reflected the bold and spirited nature that characterized her life. More than anything, she found joy in caring for others, and her selfless heart left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Helen Jeter, and her brother, Walter Jeter.

Left to cherish her precious memories and celebrate her enduring legacy are her devoted husband, Horace Moise; her children, Tuesday (Edward) Thomas of Roebuck, SC, Tommie Lee Wells of Spartanburg, SC, Samuel Lee Wells of Spartanburg, SC, and Timothy (Jamie) Wells of Spartanburg, SC; her siblings, Lillian (Tyrone) Rice of Spartanburg, SC, Charles (Carrie) Owens of Inman, SC, Joseph Owens, Willie Jeter, Wilson Jeter, Margaret Benson, Betty J. Boyd, Mary A. Jeter, Linda Jeter and Debrah Jeter all of Spartanburg, SC; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

On May 28, 2026, Helen peacefully transitioned at her home, surrounded by the love of those she held dear. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
