Guadalupe Erazmo Martinez, Jr. was born, on October 9, 1954, to the late Elida Cantu Martinez and the late Guadalupe Erazmo Martinez, Sr., in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from John Jay High School. He went on to receive training and certification from the Correctional Academy in Florida. Guadalupe served as a correctional officer for over 27 years.

He was a devoted father and grandfather. Guadulupe loved his family immensely and was very talkative. In his spare time he enjoyed watching Fox News and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife Denise Martinez.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are a son, Daniel Martinez; daughter, Jennifer (Brandon) Mauldin; sister, Marci Martinez; grandchildren, Dora Greenwald, Violet Greenwald, and William Martinez; and a host other relatives and friends.

On the evening of Wednesday, July 16, 2024, Guadalupe transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. He will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
