Gloria Gertrude Henderson, affectionately known as "Sister", was born on January 13, 1952, to the late Gloria Gertrude Anderson and Samuel James Henderson. She attended Passaic High School and later received her GED. Gloria, in her younger years, was extremely athletic and loved playing basketball and softball. She was incredibly gifted at basketball and trained her sons and nephews to be excellent basketball players as well. Gloria had a pleasant and happy personality. She was a NY Jets fan and her favorite color was green.

Gloria was preceded in death, along with her parents, by brothers, Arthur Henderson and Harry Henderson;  granddaughter, Robin Henderson;  and sister-in-law, Connie Henderson.

Left to cherish her fond and loving memories include her sons, Robert Henderson of  Passaic, NJ, Terrance Henderson of Passaic, NJ, and Jermaine Henderson of Carlstadt, NJ; sister, Susie (Tony Canady) Turner of Greer, SC; brothers, Samuel Henderson of Virginia Beach, VA, Claude Henderson of Irvington, NJ, Dennis (Adele) Henderson of Virginia Beach, VA, Gerald (Millie) Henderson Passaic, NJ, Franklin (Jennifer) Henderson of Kinston, NC, James Henderson of Austin, TX, and Richard Henderson of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Henderson, DJ Henderson, and Carmello Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Gloria transitioned at the Chandler Creek Past Acute after an extended illness. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
