IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Franklin R.
Crook
March 5, 1937 – January 8, 2022
Franklin Roosevelt Crook, affectionally called "Frank", was born March 5, 1937, to both the late Jesse and Marie Allen Crook. Frank was a native of Spartanburg, SC and was educated in the Spartanburg County school system. In April of 1958, Frank married the love of his life, Betty Lowrance. He retired from Milliken & Company after forty-four years of service; he served forty years at the Drayton Mill campus and concluded with four years at the Cotton Blossom campus. Frank was described as a "Jack of all trades", but he favored being outdoors working in his yard and tending to his flower and vegetable gardens. Overall, Frank enjoyed vacationing with his family whom he loved so very much. Frank was a devout Jehovah's Witness, and it was proven in his passion for witnessing to others.
Along with his father and mother, Frank was proceeded in death by a son, Willie Paul Fowler; and four sisters, Betty Ann Fowler, Dorothy Ruth Miller, Bell Linder, and Connie Adams.
Left to cherish the fond and loving memories of Frank are his wife, Betty Crook of the home; one daughter, Gail (Homer) Simuel of Spartanburg, SC; three sons, Allen W. Crook, Kenneth Crook, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Robert Douglas Crook of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Mary Jo (Russell) Wrenix and Jessie M. Salter both of Spartanburg, SC; one brother, Jerry (Shirley) Crook of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
On January 8, 2022, Franklin Roosevelt Crook is going where the flowers are always in bloom.
