Obituary

Floyd Carson, affectionately known as "Grandpa" was born, on July 4, 1958, to the late Alice Brooks Carson and the late Carl Carson, Sr., in Greenville, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County school system and a 1977graduate of Chapman High School. He was formerly employed at Home Depot in Greenville SC.

He was a loveable spirit and enjoyed listening to Gospel music.  He loved children and was a member of New Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Floyd was preceded in death, along with his parents, by twin brother, Loyd Carson; siblings, Carl Carson, Jr., Michael E. Carson, and Jannie Mae Carson Jackson Johnson.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are stepchildren, Gerald Whitner, Shuntae Whitner, and Angela Whitner-Hall all of Greenville, SC; sisters, Betty Carson Johnson, Martha C. Wilkins, and Linda F. Carson all of the home; military buddy, Jake Pearson; adopted grandson, Isaiah Whitner; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends

On the morning of Sunday, October 13, 2024, Floyd transitioned at the Spartanburg Medical Center. He will be missed by his family and friends.
