Miss Evelyn Rice, a resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. She was born in Spartanburg, on January 27, 1950, to the late Clyde and the late Lula Beckham Rice.

Evelyn was a 1968 graduate of Carver High School, where she was a member of the band. She also attended Cecil’s Business College.

Evelyn dedicated 25 years of service to ADO Corporation (ADO Draperies with a Gold Thread). She was funny, smart, and loved to laugh. Evelyn was a great sister and an awesome aunt who cherished her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marion L. Rice; her sisters, Linda Ann Rice and Rhunett Elaine Rice; and her sister-in-law, Beverly Rice.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her loving memories four brothers: Robert O. (Mary) Rice of Spartanburg, SC; David C. (Frances) Rice of Riverdale, GA; Nathaniel Rice of Inman, SC; and John F. Rice of Spartanburg, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Evelyn will be remembered for her quick wit, intelligence, joyful laughter, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Callaham-Hicks & Leeside Chapel on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
