Ernest William Beaty, Jr., affectionately known as "June Bug", was born on October 27, 1968, to Barbara Jean Leake Beaty and the late Ernest William Beaty, Sr., in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools. He worked for over 28 years for A to Z Landscaping.

Ernest was a pleasant individual, who would give his last way to anyone. He was extremely protective of his family and was helpful to anyone he encountered. His favorite NFL team was the Pittsburg Steelers.

He was preceded in death, along with his father, by niece, Lawanda Beaty and nephew, Toney Irby, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Beaty of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Tevin Barnes, of Roebuck, SC, Jamiah Fowler and Victor Jones both of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Ernest William Simpson of Reidville, SC; sisters, Wanda Beaty, Theresa Moore, and Janice Beaty all of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kelani Jones and Sage Fowler; aunts, Annie M Moore, Johnnie Swinson, and Vinie Hemphill; uncles, Lonnie Gist and Smitty Gist; special friend, Christina Hardy; bonus children and grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On the evening of Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Ernest transitioned. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
