Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Lister, 45, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026.  Born on October 24, 1980, in Greenville, South Carolina, Beth was the daughter of Sharon Ann Weakley Lister and William Eugene Lister. She was a sister to James Lister and Andrew Lister, and a treasured friend to many whose lives were made brighter by her presence.  Beth was a one-of-a-kind woman whose spirited personality left an unmistakable mark on everyone she met. She was known for being feisty, independent, and unafraid to speak her mind. Her honesty, sense of humor, and authentic nature brought both laughter and joy to those around her. Beneath her fiery spirit was a kind heart that deeply appreciated life's simple pleasures. Beth loved spending time outdoors, especially sitting quietly on her favorite park bench watching the world go by or relaxing on the porch feeling the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze. These peaceful moments brought her comfort and happiness. She also enjoyed community outings, trips to the movies, dining at her favorite restaurants, and dreaming of adventures to the beach and water parks.

A devoted movie lover, Beth could often be found laughing along to her favorite comedy, White Chicks. She enjoyed having books read to her, flipping through magazines, participating in activities at her day program and the gym, and spending time in the sensory room. Beth found joy in worship music, watching church services, and celebrating holidays and birthdays with those she loved.

Beth was blessed with many special friendships throughout her life. She leaves behind her dear friends Kathy, Sonya, and Connie, along with a host of friends, caregivers, and staff members whose lives were enriched by knowing her. She was a beloved member of the Charles Lea Center family, where she formed meaningful relationships and touched countless hearts through her vibrant spirit and unique personality.

Though Beth's time with us was far too short, her memory will live on in the laughter she shared, the friendships she cherished, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
