Elizabeth Ann Allman

Elizabeth Ann Allman, affectionately known as “Flutie,” was born on April 21, 1940, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late Marie Thomas Palmer and the late Lee Palmer. She was educated in the Spartanburg County school system and later dedicated many years of service as a janitor with Park Hills and Mary H. Wright Elementary School, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

Elizabeth found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. She loved ice cream, enjoyed working puzzle books, sewing, and fishing. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandsons, who held a special place in her heart. One of her favorite pastimes was taking relaxing car rides. Her favorite color was blue, and she was an avid supporter of Dorman High School football. Elizabeth was a devoted member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church and remained active in the community through her involvement at the TK Gregg Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughters, Charlene Allman and Vera Palmer.

Left to honor and cherish her precious memories are her children, Cindy Sullivan, Flora M. Palmer, and Alice J. Smith, all of Spartanburg, SC; her sister, Mary Palmer of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Jamal Sullivan, Lucious Sullivan, Ray Palmer, Latosha Palmer, Arron Sullivan, Porsha Palmer, Jasmine Palmer, and Daronia Alexander; her dear friends, Linda Askari and Sandra Dawkins; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, Elizabeth peacefully transitioned at the Physical Rehab and Wellness Center of Spartanburg. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love, warmth, and cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
