Elder Anthony Mark Washington, Jr. "Tony" was born on February 8, 1989, to Ms. Priscilla Allen and Mr. Anthony Mark Washington, Sr. in Stamford Connecticut. He graduated from Hillhouse High School and attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina where he majored in music. Anthony was employed with Dollar Tree as a material handler. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Anthony was also an ordained elder in the Church of God Christ at The Promised Land Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Apostle Tommy Quick. His favorite song was "When we praise" by Fred Hammond.
Left to cherish his fond and loving memories along with parents are his wife, Erica Washington of the home; son, Aden Washington of the home; daughter, Mariska Washington of the home; father and mother-in law, Richard and Angela Millwood of Boiling Springs, SC; sisters, Gloria Washington and Dawn Washington both of New Haven, CT; brother, Wendell (Krystal) Allen of Mineola, NY; aunts, Rosemary Sumpter of Spartanburg, SC, Wilhelmina (David) Bonds- White of Beaufort SC, Belinda Washington of Hampton, VA, Yvette Washington of Hampton, VA, Donna Allen of Phoenix AZ, Barbara Allen of Maryland; Uncles Frankie Bonds, Daniel Edwards, and Columbus Allen all of St. Helena Island SC, Lemuel Washington of Hampton, VA, Gareth (Linese) Washington of North Carolina, David Washington, Bridgeport CT, Christopher Washington(Tracy) Washington Bridgeport, CT; godmother, Star Merritt; special friends, Matthew McNutty, Chamone Bordeaux Dobbs, and Christopher Fyffe; and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his grandparents Limuel and Ethel Washington and Columbus and Gloria Allen. On Monday, October 4, 2021, Anthony laid down his cross and exchanged it for his crown. He can now rest from his labor and his works will follow him. His life and memories will be forever cherished in the hearts of all who loved and knew. We give God praise for a life well live and journey completed.
