Obituary

Ms. Edith Ann Dantzler Hines was born on November 29, 1951, in Spartanburg County to the late Lela Boyd Dantzler and the late Choice Dantzler. She was educated in the Spartanburg County school system.  She was employed for over 16 years with Inman Mills.  She loved the Lord with all her heart and trusted Him fully.  Edith was a beautiful person both naturally and spiritually.  She was a lover of nice things and knew how to make good use of her time.  She loved to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and had a heart of gold to help anyone in need. She spent many years of service in the home healthcare field where she took care of numerous elderly and disabled individuals.  Her love for people in this way was as nurturing as medicine to help those in need to recover.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her children, JoAnn Hall of Spartanburg, SC, Willie Earl Hines, Jr. of Boiling Springs, SC, and Barron (Chantal) Hines of Inman SC; grandchildren, Quinten Hall of Spartanburg, SC,  Kenisha Young of Charlotte, NC, JL Hall Hayward of Spartanburg, SC, Jasmine Hines of Greenville, SC, Elijah Hines of Boiling Springs, SC, Neyanni Hines of Atlanta, GA, Keonne Hines of Atlanta, GA, and Aniyah Hines of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren, Quaivun Hall of Spartanburg, SC, Jayden Sims of  Charlotte, NC, Autumn Sims of Charlotte, NC, and  Isaiah Irby of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Dan William Dantzler of Albany, NY, Lillie "Tillie" Dantzler Jackson of Albany, NY, Bernice "Bonnie" Philson of Germantown, PA,  Booker T. Dantzler of Albany, NY, Diane Dantzler of Spartanburg, SC, and  Rose Spence of Albany, NY; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.

She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her children, Lefoy Hines and Tasha Hines; brother, Dossie Dantzler; and great-grandchild, Tityna Hall.

On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Edith's full life was summoned to a close.  Her legacy of love will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
