Edith
Frasier
May 5, 1949 – April 13, 2026
Ms. Edith Frasier was born on May 5, 1949, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Mary Ella Dawkins and the late Rochelle Dawkins.
On Monday, April 13, 2026, Edith Lucille Frasier peacefully transitioned to her new home. Her earthly journey came to a gentle close as she entered eternal rest. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, her voice, and her unmistakable presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. For she believed you can bury her body, but not her soul-for her soul belongs to God.
She departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family.
Edith received her education in the Spartanburg County School System and was a proud graduate of Carver High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was a dedicated woman who was employed with the Spartanburg Herald-Journal and later with Heritage Memorial Gardens, where she served.
Edith was known for her beautiful voice, warm smile, and unwavering love for the Lord and her family. At a very young age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was a devoted member of New Testament Church, where she sang on the praise team under the leadership of Pastor Deborah E. Lindsey. Her life was a reflection of her strong faith, and she carried that spirit with her in everything she did. Though she encountered many challenges throughout her life, she faced each one with strength, grace, and unwavering faith -overcoming every obstacle placed before her.
Her favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rochelle Dawkins, Jimmy Dawkins, Annette Dawkins, Dorothy Smith, and Bernice Borders; her aunts, Jeanette Jones and Bernice Sondley; her uncle, Willie J. Smith; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Frasier.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Robert Frasier of Charleston, South Carolina; her six daughters, Sheena Dawkins, Trini (Jerome) Jones, Nepheteria Ivery, Brandy Ivery, Robena (Anthony) Bell, and Tamar Frasier, all of Spartanburg, South Carolina; one sister, Dana Smith; one sister on her father's side, Anita Anderson; fourteen grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter, Tamijah Frasier, whom she lovingly raised; great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Frasier Williams, Lynn Frasier Arenholtz, and Nicole Frasier Denmark; two brothers-in-law, Darrell L. Frasier and Herbert G. Alexander; and Myrtle Mae Robbs, who was a very special friend and sister for 40 plus years, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Edith's life will forever be remembered for the love she shared, the faith she lived, and the joy she brought to those around her.
