Mr. Duncan Eric McHam was born on May 1, 1963, in Spartanburg County to Mr. Freddie Murphy and the late Beatrice Drucilla McHam. He was educated in Spartanburg County school districts three and seven. Duncan was an avid fan of the Raiders NFL team.  He enjoyed listening to music by Parliament and Funkadelic. Mr. McHam was known as a "Grill Master" because of his exemplary grilling skills.  Duncan's favorite colors were silver and black.  He had a very caring heart and would help anyone he could.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his wife, Sheila Renee Thompson of Boiling Springs, SC; sons,  Fredrick (Sandra) Carson, Everick Carson, and Carlos Carson all of  Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Laveda Fowler, Jazmine Fowler, and Jada Fowler all of  Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Brian (Angelique) McHam of Easley, SC, Scott McHam, Marcus (Tasha) McHam, Gregory McHam and Kerry McHam all of Spartanburg, SC; sister,  Pamela Murphy of Atlanta GA; aunt, Gloria Wade-Campbell; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice McHam.

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, Duncan departed from his earthly life and will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.
