IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Drusilla
Holmes
January 4, 1959 – January 26, 2025
Drusilla Holmes, affectionately known as "Dru", was born December 4, 1959, to the late Freddie Lee Holmes and the late Edward Forest Wynn, in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools. Drusilla retired from Disney World in Orlando, FL.
Drusilla was the purest soul you could ever meet. She never judged anyone and she accepted everyone for who they were. She possessed an endearing love for her immediate, extended and adopted families. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, and knitting. She had an enormous heart that led her to take many into her home, including animals.
Her favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys and she loved the color purple. She was attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her fond and loving memory include her son, Shundell Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Nadia Grady of Kansas City, MO and Jaimie Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Donald Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Mary B. Holmes of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kadeja Holmes, Kwenshawn Holmes, Malik Grady, Zavion Grady Austin, Monet Holmes, Antoinette Gibbs, Mechelle Gibbs, Isis Holmes, and Isiah Holmes; great-grandchild, Kasen Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Drusilla transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center. Her loving and pure soul will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
