Dorothy Mae Miller was born, in New York on July 20, 1931, to the late Macio Davis and Pedrie Cokley Davis. She obtained an associate degree and a license in cosmetology. Dorothy had a kind and loving spirit.

Dorothy leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her sisters-in-law, Gladys Miller and Fannie Roseboro both of Roebuck, SC; adopted grandson James (Toni) Ridgeway of Spartanburg, SC; nieces, Ruth McCullough, Geraldine Kelly, Betty Styles, June Miller, Naomi Alexander, Darlene Miller, Debbie Davis, Robin Davis and Debbie Moore; nephews, James E. Miller, Roy Alexander, Timothy Alexander, Brian Alexander, Jon Roseboro, Tommy Miller, Kenny Bradford and Tommy Anderson; a very close confidant and friend, Candesee Jones of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other loving cousins, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Jerry "RJ" Miller and brother, Sherman Macio Davis.

On Saturday, August 20, 2022, Dorothy at the seasoned age of 91, transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.  Her legacy of love will live on throughout the annals of time and her memories will be forever cherished.
