David Earl Norris

David Earl Norris was born on February 25, 1958, to the late Virginia Mae Norris in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. For many years, he was employed with Bishop’s Restoration and Cleaning, where he faithfully worked until his retirement.

David was a man with a vibrant personality who never met a stranger. Talkative, comical, and full of life, he had a way of bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. An avid outdoorsman, he found great pleasure in fishing and hunting and cherished the peace and adventure that nature provided. David was also known as a jokester who loved talking junk with family and friends, always keeping those around him entertained. He especially loved wearing camouflage, with Mossy Oak fatigues being among his favorites.

He was preceded in death, along with his mother, by his brother, Stephan Norris.

Left to cherish his life, love, and legacy are his children, Juanetta (Quentin) Copeland of Spartanburg, SC, and Lamesha Norris of Charleston, SC; brothers, Matthew Norris of Spartanburg, SC and Nathaniel (Kenochia) Norris of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Shanya Jeter, Symaria Jeter, Nyasia Jeter, and Dave Warren, IV; great grandchild, Neveah Jeter; extended family, Fabian (Tenisha) Browning, Taneshia P. Alexander, and Isiah Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, David peacefully transitioned at Spartanburg Medical Center. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the laughter, love, and unforgettable memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
