Obituary

Darrick Dewayne Parks was born, on May 17, 1972, to the late Annie Lee Middleton Sawyer and the late Jessie James Parks, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1990 graduate of William L Dickinson High School in Jersey City, NJ. Darrick was employed at Plastic Omnium.

Darrick was a music enthusiast. With that love and passion for music, he became a disc jockey with the stage name Mr. BME of 86 Foe. He was extremely sentimental about the Christmas holiday and loved watching all of the classic Christmas shows with his sister. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and his favorite color was brown.

He leaves fond a loving memory to his daughter, Finesse Parks of Landis, NC; sister, Angenetta Sawyer of Charlotte, NC; aunts, Dorothy Tolbert of Spartanburg, SC, Janie Lee of Spartanburg, SC, Vivian Whiteside of Inman, SC, Regina Evins of Roebuck, SC, Lillie Getrude of Jersey City, NJ, Susan Middleton of Spartanburg, SC and Barbara J. Middleton of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, David Parks of Greer, SC, Stenson Parks of Spartanburg, SC, Daniel Parks of Chesnee, SC and Donald Middleton of Boiling Springs, SC; nephews, Torrance Sawyer and Cornellius Sawyer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

On December 26, 2024, Darrick transitioned at his home. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
