Danny Lee Wilkins was born on October 29, 1953, in Spartanburg County, SC, to the late Mary M. Wilkins and the late C. W. Wilkins. He was educated in the Spartanburg County school system, where he developed the character and work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.

Danny was a dedicated employee of the City of Spartanburg, from which he later retired after years of faithful service. Known for his joyful disposition, he had a warm spirit and a contagious laugh. He was always 'cutting up", bringing smiles to those around him, and he never met a stranger. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time at the flea market, a place he truly enjoyed.

Danny was a devoted member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Campobello, SC, where he remained connected in faith and fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Wilkins.

Left to honor and cherish his life and legacy are his daughter, Dacenna D. Wilkins of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Mattie Horne, C. W. Wilkins, Jr., and Dianne Wilkins, all of Inman, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Danny Lee Wilkins transitioned from this life, leaving behind memories that will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
