Dana Patreace Haywood entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at her home. She was born, on June 28, 1980, to Bobby and the late Gaston Calvin Haywood, II, in Spartanburg, SC. She was a lifelong member of Cleveland Chapel Baptist Church where she was a former member of the mass choir and presently served as an usher, always on her post in uniform and wearing a smile. She was educated in the Spartanburg County School System and graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1998. She enlisted in the United States Navy and served for eight years. She later received training in cosmetology and became a master hair stylist. Her favorite color was purple.
Left to morn her passing and cherish her fond memories are her daughters, Jermora Haywood and Payton Haywood of Spartanburg, SC; mother, Bobby Haywood of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Gaston Haywood of Spartanburg, SC; nieces, Alicia Haywood, Caitlyn Kelly and D’Miya Broadus all of Spartanburg, SC; godsons, Jaylon Cohen and Jayvon Cohen; uncles, Robert Haywood, Lewis Haywood, and Kevin Jefferies; aunt, Mabel Miller; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
