Coy Coston Landrum was born, September 14, 1944, to the late Otha Daniel Landrum and the late Sallie Geneva Waddell Landrum, in Spartanburg County. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools. At an early age, he joined the Fairview CME Church and later united with New Faith International Church.

He retired from Michelin Tires after 25 years of service. Coy was the founder and owner of Landrum Trucking Company LLC.

Coy enjoyed the art of farming; he especially liked trucks and tractors.  He was a collector of antique cars and took joy in working on cars.  Coy had a good heart and was often found helping others. He was a hard worker and loved to talk and eat. In his spare time he enjoyed watching wrestling.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by siblings, Ostell D. Landrum, Murvell Goggins, and Sallie O. Landrum.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are daughter, Traci Landrum of Spartanburg, SC; son, Jeffrey (LatTesha) Landrum of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Madison (Dorothy) Landrum of Chesnee, SC, Glenn Landrum of Chesnee, SC, Carl Landrum of Laurens, SC, and Minister Joseph (Lisa) Landrum of Columbia, SC; sisters, Cora (Clarence) Martin of Chesnee, SC, Barbara Landrum of Chesnee, SC, Linda (Gentle) Johnson of Greer, SC, Carolyn (James) Frye of Spartanburg, SC, and Loretta (Charles) Boozer of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Keiyana Landrum, TyJan Landrum, and Jaydon Landrum; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On July 27, 2024, Coy transitioned peacefully at his home. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
