Charles Lamar Davis was born on October 18, 1975, to the late Victoria Davis and the late Bobby Joe Davis in Spartanburg, SC. He was a proud graduate of Stratford High School, Class of 1995. Following graduation, he attended Job Corps, where he earned a certification in Building and Maintenance. Charles was employed with Mack Molding, where he worked faithfully and diligently.

Charles was known for his kindhearted spirit, quiet strength, and generous nature. He possessed a loving personality that touched those around him in a special way. He enjoyed cooking and was especially known for his delicious chicken dishes that family and friends often looked forward to eating. Charles was also a devoted fan of the Carolina Panthers, and his favorite color was purple.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thaddeus J. Davis, and his grandmother, Louvenia McKelvy.

Left to cherish and honor his life, love, and precious memories are his son, Emmanuel Grant of North Charleston, SC; siblings, Michael Burch of Summerville, SC, Shawn Cooper (Charles) of Summerville, SC, Donna Davis of Spartanburg, SC, Bobby Davis, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, and Michelle Davis of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Carolyn Pinnacle of Boiling Springs, SC, Mary Gardner of Spartanburg, SC, Isabelle Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Margaret Talley of FL, and Shirley Wells of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Richard Talley, Curtis Talley, and Charles Talley, all of Spartanburg, SC; nieces, Shamyla Morgan and Deaja Tillman; cousins, Ronnie Burch, Cynthia Sears, Myron Mood, and Charles Dillard; godson, Joseph Swinton, IV; goddaughter, Erica Swinton; along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

On Saturday, March 23, 2026, Charles peacefully transitioned at his home. Though his earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will truly be missed.
