Our Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend

Celita Maureen Mills was born, on November 3, 1960, in Washington, DC. Celita was a graduate of the Butterfly Foundation Program where she received certification in culinary arts. This was one of her greatest life achievements.

Celita was an excellent chef and thoroughly enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She had a bubbly personality and was noted as being a ray of sunshine. Her mere presence would light up a room. Celita had a loving personality and gave nicknames to all her nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and her favorite color was purple.

Celita was preceded in death by her mother, Rayma Mills and sister, Saundra Mills.

Those left to remember and cherish her life and legacy include her father, Rev. Dr. Lewis (Magdalene) Mills; sister, Lekeisha (Frank) Greene of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, William Foster of Rochester, NY and Harold (Sandra) Simuel of Greer, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. On the evening of Thursday, December 21, 2023, Celita transitioned peacefully at the Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Her joyous spirit and loving personality will be missed greatly.
