IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brendalyn (Cade)
Myers
February 24, 1946 – December 15, 2025
Brendalyn Cade Myers was born on February 24, 1946, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Dorothy Cade Floyd and the late Warren Beatty. She received her education at Coolidge High School in Washington, DC. In her adult years, Brendalyn made New York her home for more than twenty five years, where she was employed with the subway system and later worked within the court system on Long Island. She later returned to South Carolina and spent several years residing in Winnsboro.
Brendalyn was unmistakably herself. Known for her talkative nature and unmistakable personality, she proudly embraced her individuality and never felt compelled to conform. Though expressive, she was a homebody who found peace in her own space and joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed working word puzzles, a pastime that reflected her thoughtful, reflective mind. Her favorite color was purple, a shade that mirrored her distinct spirit and vibrant essence. A woman of faith, Brendalyn was a member of Majority Baptist Church.
An enigma in the truest sense, Brendalyn walked to the rhythm of her own drum. Her rebellious edge was not rooted in defiance, but in authenticity. She lived life on her own terms, unapologetically and sincerely, leaving a lasting impression on all who truly knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved grandmother, Lizzie C. Brown.
Brendalyn leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Dorothy C. Floyd of Greenville, South Carolina; her only son, Darryl (Sally) Cade of Mauldin, South Carolina; her cherished grandson, Jonathan Marcus; and two special friends, Lionel Harmon and Lindsay Webster, along with other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
On Monday, December 15, 2025, Brendalyn peacefully transitioned at her home. Her earthly journey came to a gentle close as she entered eternal rest. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, her voice, and her unmistakable presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
