Obituary

Brandon Sylvester Robbs-Tanner was born on August 1, 1986, to Maggie M. Robbs and Bobby Joe Tanner, Jr., in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was educated in the Spartanburg County school system. Brandon was employed at Crown Health Industries as a dock attendant and forklift driver, where he was known as an outstanding and dependable worker.

He was a loving and devoted father, a dedicated son, and a supportive brother. Brandon was always willing to help others, admired for his intelligence, and respected by everyone who knew him. In his free time, Brandon enjoyed lifting weights, riding four-wheelers and ATVs, and playing basketball. He was an avid sports fan with a special love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite colors were blue and black.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie Robbs, Annie Lee "Shawty" Tanner, Sylvester Lane and Bobby Joe Tanner; aunt, Terri A. Robbs; uncles, Bobby L. Robbs and Lee Lane Robbs; and nephew, Armon N. Tanner.

Left to cherish his memory and legacy are parents, Maggie M. (Aaron Robinson) Robbs of the home and Bobby Joe Tanner of Spartanburg, SC; children, Ariyanna Hines of Forest City, NC, Kayla Tanner and Rylii Brown both of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Denean (Antonio) Robbs, Britne (Elijah)  Greene, Breanna Tanner, Chelsea Tanner all of Spartanburg, SC, Bobby J. "Pedro" Tanner, III of Landover, MD, and Rashawn Flournoy of Charlotte, NC; stepbrother, Antonio Moore; aunts, Debra A. White of Manhattan, NY and Faye (Donnell) Ellis of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Jerome (Myrtle) Robbs of Spartanburg, SC, Robert (Isabelle) Robbs of Spartanburg, SC, Nelson Robbs of Asbury Park, NJ, Billy (Carla) Tanner of Gaffney, SC, Barry (Los Angeles) Tanner of Spartanburg, SC, and Wayne (Regina) Tanner of Spartanburg, SC; nieces and nephews, Jaylin Johnson, Erin Robbs-Kilgore, Audrey Reimbeau, Authur Reimbeau, Elona Greene, Madison Greene, Elizabeth Greene, Tanner Burris, and Bobby J. "Peanut" Tanner, IV; special cousins, Willie Smith, Tiara Ellis, Reneika Robbs-Clarke, and  Shandrica Rice; special friend, Fran Minyard; and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Brandon's life, which was marked by his generosity, respectfulness, and unwavering love for his family,  came to a close on  Sunday, September 28, 2025. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
