Bobby Joe Davis, Sr. was born on August 18, 1949, to the late Bobby Joe Davis and the late Helen Talley, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools.

Bobby was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and liked the Clemson Tigers.  He was mild mannered in nature and was very sensitive.  Bobby was known as being a straight shooter and had a no-nonsense personality.  He was well rounded and loved by all who met him. He enjoyed sitting with his legs crossed watching westerns, especially Gun Smoke.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Victoria Davis.

Bobby leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories to his daughters, Donna Davis and Michelle Darlene Davis both of Spartanburg, SC and Shawn N. (Charles) Cooper of Summerville, SC; sons, Bobby Joe Davis, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, Charles L. Davis of Charleston, SC and  Michael Burch of Summerville, SC; sisters, Mary  Gordon and  Helen Talley both of Spartanburg, SC,  Margaret Evans of Miami FL, and  Isabell Williams of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Charles (Angela) Talley, Curtis (Fannie Mae) Talley, and Richard (Ann) Talley all of Spartanburg, SC; aunt, Shirley Wells; grandchildren, Deyonta Olley, Ahmad Olley, Faith (Jerome) Butler, Erica Davis, Charity Davis, Ashely Dodd, Joseph ( April) Swinton, Erica Dayne Wetzel, DeHaja Tillmon, Shamyla Morgan, and Emmanuel Grant; a host great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Bobby peacefully transitioned at his home with family at his side. His gentle and loving spirt will always be cherished by all who loved and knew him.
