Bernard Wilson Beasley, affectionately known as "Nard", was born on October 9, 1980, to the late Grace Virginia Beasley and the late Alvin Davis, Sr., in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the Spartanburg County Schools. Bernard was employed with William's Detail for several years.

Benard was known as being a "Character" and fun to be around. He had a comedic flair and was a jokester. Benard was talkative and never met a stranger. He loved his family, especially his children, and was helpful to any one he met.  He never left your presence without saying, "I Love You'.

He was a Carolina Panthers fan and his favorite color was blue.

Benard was preceded in death, along with his parents, by nephew, La Brian Beasley, Sr..

Those left to cherish his memory are daughter, Shania Rice and Shymiyah Miller both of Spartanburg, SC and Mariah Gaston of Indiana; sons, Jakavious Rice and Jordyn Rice both of Greenville, SC Shaquan Porter and Elijah Dawkins both of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Alvin( Porschia) Dawkins of Gaffney, SC and Rickey Beasley of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Karen (Joe Jones) Beasley and Veronica (Alphonso) Carter of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Charles (Lillie) Davis and Horace Davis both of Spartanburg, SC.; granddaughter, Amariana Porter; nieces, Sade Williams, Keasia Beasley, Neriyah Clark, and  India Shippy; nephews, Ricky Williams, Tcarro Williams, Jordan Davis, Quison Clark, Jodiya Dawkins, Jeffrey Woodruff, Jr., and Jameir Woodruff; s; great nephews, Labrian Beasley, Jr.Sarue William, and Savi Barber; and a host of other relatives and friends.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Benard transitioned peacefully at the Spartanburg Medical Center. His loving spirit will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
