Barbara Ann Peake was born on June 28, 1952, to the late Virginia Allen and the late Archie Allen, in Spartanburg, SC. She was known to most as “Barb”.
Barbara was an outspoken, honest, and caring person. She was an astounding grand and great-grandmother. Among the things she enjoyed were interior decorating, cooking, shopping, and watching old movies and other TV shows. She organized youth dances and proms at Mary H. Wright, and she was also the head cook. Barbara was a big sister in a big family, the Allens. Her favorite color was yellow.
Barbara was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a former Eastern Star member.
Predeceased, along with her husband and parents, by son, Thomas “Tank” McCravy and siblings, David Allen, Mark Allen, Kathy Allen, Jo Ann Allen, Peggy Allen, and Anette Allen.
Those left to cherish her memories are children, and Lamont McCravy, both of Spartanburg, SC and Demond (Stacy) McCravy of Boiling Springs, SC; siblings, Louise Allen of Spartanburg, SC, Steven (Sylvia) Allen of Bakersfield, CA, Rita (Eric) Varner of Pacolet, SC, Roy Allen of Spartanburg, SC, Scottie Allen of Roebuck, SC, Sophia Talley of Charlotte, NC, Jacqueline Allen of Spartanburg, SC, Yolanda Allen of Spartanburg, and Tonya Allen of Washington, DC; aunts, Yvonne Dawkins, Hazel Whiteside and Annie Wilkins; uncles, Albert Hall, Willie lee Hall and Franklin Hall; grandchildren, Cayden McCray, Syair Foster, Demetricus McCravy, Taylor Goodwill, Sierra Bradford and Kelsey Wood; great-grandchildren, Jayden McCravy, Aubrey Philson, Malakai Poteat, Violet Goodwill and Harper Goodwill; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
