Barbara Jean Greely, affectionately known as Bobbie, was born on June 11, 1943, to the late Oleama Smith Greely and the late Henry Greely, in Spartanburg, SC. She was educated in Spartanburg County Schools and graduated from Carver High School. Barbara retired from Converse College after twenty-nine years of service.

Barbara was quiet, loving and very religious. She enjoyed sewing, working crosswords puzzles, writing poems, and singing. Her favorite TV show was Touched by An Angel. Her favorite colors were gold, red, white and purple. She was a member of New Bethel Fire Baptized Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by siblings, Sonny Greely and Shirley M. Jeter and nephew Terrance Rice.

Left to cherish her fond and loving memories are daughter, Francina Stevens of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Carolyn Surratt of Spartanburg, SC, Della Smith of Columbus, OH, Virigina Stevens of Six Miles, SC, and Eulophine Greely of New York, NY; grandchildren, Alexis Drummond and De'Andre Jones; great grandchild, Khalani Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On the evening of Thursday, July 11, 2024, Barbara transitioned to be with the Lord. Her troubles are all past and now she is home at last. Her loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends
