Alice Lulamae Jones was born on April 29, 1934, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late Elijah William Jones and the late Estelle Crawford Jones. She was educated in the Spartanburg County School system and attended New Bedford High School. Alice worked for over 30 years as a weaver.  In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing and embroidering. Alice was a lifetime member of the New Pilgrim Baptist Church and was a member of the choir, kitchen committee, missionary, and Sunday School.

She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by seven brothers and six sisters.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory to sisters Etolia McMillian of Inman, SC and Willie Mae Jones of Campobello, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On the morning of Friday, July 15, 2023, Alice transitioned peacefully at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC. Her loving memory will be forever cherished and be a beacon of light to all who loved her.
