Obituary

Addison Joseph Fields Jr. was born  January 1, 1970, to the late Addison Joseph Fields Sr. and Patricia Carson Fields in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1988 graduate of Dorman High School. Addison continued his education at Spartanburg Technical College and received an Associate's degree in Computer Technology.

Addison was an extremely strong-willed and outspoken individual. He was also very comedic. Addison had an infectious personality, and his mere presence would light up a room. His inner joy would ignite a fire in almost anyone.

Addison had a great love for photography. He had an unique ability to capture moments that would translate images to convey stories.

Addison joined Macedonia Baptist Church at a young age. His favorite color was purple.

He was preceded in death, along with his father, by maternal grandfather, Earnest Carson and great grandmother, Avice Knuckles Carson.

He leaves behind a lifetime of love and joy to his loving wife, Patricia Ann Fields of the home; mother, Patricia Carson Fields of Union, SC; sons, Deante' (Kaleigh) Lawrence, Jesse Wallace, and Ontario Wallace all of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Shannon D. Fields of Union, SC and Tabatha Fields of Augusta, GA; aunts, Earnestine (Divinity) Mickel of Moore, SC, Leola (Jimmy) Montgomery of Gaffney, SC, Claudia Smith of Greenville, SC, Rosemary Gilliam of Spartanburg, SC, and Gwendolyn Fields of Spartanburg, SC; uncles, Freddie (Linda) Fields of Jonesville, SC, Leroy Gist of Spartanburg, SC, and Kenneth (Sallie) Fields of Spartanburg, SC; nieces, Victoria (Jacquet) Gee of Spartanburg, SC, Julia Fields of Union, SC, and Marisha Salters of Augusta, GA; Friends, Gladys Skinner, Yvonne Numbia, and Thomas Robinson; and a host of other relatives and acquaintances.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Addison transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at Physical Rehab & Wellness Center of Spartanburg. His witty, infectious, and joyful spirit will be cherished and missed by all who knew him.
